Locos - Standard and Light Railway

Most of the locos here are of South Eastern origin, although others sneak in from time to time. Some have 3D printed chassis, some use RTR chassis - see individual details for more.

TS18 - KESR - Ford Railmotor
Col. Stephens' Ford Model T Railbus
One of two Colonel Stephens railmotors on the KESR, converted from a Model T Ford lorry chassis. Also suitable for other light railways (including the S&MR) and freelance ventures. This kit is designed to use a cheap (but powerful!) motor, which does take up some of the interior space, and is visible externally from low angles.

It is fiddly to install the motor and pickups - fitting enough weight and getting the setup right to make the front wheels turn properly can take time.

Consists of body, interior, details and roof prints and includes the motor and gears for 2mm axle. The builder will need to source 12mm wheels, pickups, clear plastic (for the windows) and sheet lead weight.

Price and availability - £50 (no longer available unless we can find another manufacturer)

TS06 - SER/SECR/SR - F Class/F1 Class/B1 Class
SECR F Class
These locos are a classic Sterling design for the SER, used to haul expresses and boat trains. Some were rebuilt to F1 Class and lasted into BR days. An alternative tender is available to run this as the B1 Class, which were identical in most respects.

Consists of body, chassis and tender prints, with motor and gears for 1/8" axle. Instruction sheet and parts list available on purchase.

TS08 - Furness Railway - Sharp Stewart 0-4-0ST
Model supplied with original cab, but can be built with a weatherboard as shown
Built for the Furness Railway in the 1860s, this loco [edit].

Consists of body and chassis prints, motor and gears for 1/8" axle.
